Following months of rigorous research and analysis, developed in partnership with the UCT Business School, the Top Performing Companies research team has once again determined that Tsebo Solutions Group meets the stringent criteria required to be designated as a leader in the Facilities Management sector.
Debbie Johnson, Project Manager for Topco Media’s Top Performing Companies Awards, recently visited Tsebo FS head office in Sandton to hand over the prestigious award to CEO Dr John Wentzel, who said:
“We are delighted that Tsebo Solutions Group FM has again been recognised as one of South Africa’s top performing companies. This accreditation is really something to be proud of – out of the 20 000 companies annually researched, on average only 2 500 qualify for inclusion as Top Performing Companies.”
Criteria considered in determining a top company include:
- Annual turnover of at least R100 million – This is an important criterion. However, a large turnover alone does not indicate a top performer; so profit-related measures are included in the research:
- Growth – The Company’s average growth over a period of time.
- Sector leader – This criterion is measured in terms of peer consensus, with companies in the same sector being asked to identify their main competitors.
- Quality of operation – This refers to two sets of accreditations, namely the ISO 9001 and Health & Safety accreditations.
- SED – This criterion requires a certain level of expenditure on corporate social investment (CSI).
- Triple bottom line – Based on the acceptance that there are three spheres of performance; namely people, profit and planet.
