Working together, winning together.

Working together, winning together.

Congratulations to Tsebo Solutions Group (Tirasano), who won the coveted SAFMA ‘Excellence in FM’ award last week.

The SAFMA Awards, held this year at the Protea Hotel Balalaika in Sandton on 18 February, recognise FM professionals who demonstrate a real passion for the field, and a desire to drive it to greater heights. The awards recognise the FM companies, as well as FM teams, that are moving our industry forward in SA.

Kim Veltman of SAFMA says, “These awards play an important role in the growth and development of the FM industry in South Africa. We are proud to acknowledge those who are working so hard to constantly improve the industry. Once again, this year’s awards highlighted the impressive talents of South Africa’s FM professionals.”

The awards’ entrants typically embrace innovative techniques, work to improve best practices, are significant contributors to the FM industry and demonstrate the high standards that SAFMA expects of its members.

2016’s awards evening saw SAFMA’s Chairman Paul M’Crystal, SAFMA Board Member André Klopper and KnowMore Managing Director Peter Townshend take to the stage, to talk about current trends in FM; the positive effect of FM on employees as well as on performance, and innovations in the use and management of business and corporate spaces.

Then it was time for the awards, including one for Excellence in FM – the SAFMA Awards’ highest accolade. It proved to be a very close decision, requiring intense deliberation by the judges. Both the winner and the runner-up displayed the best of qualities; both had been contributing significantly to the enhancement and promotion of best practice in the field of FM. The award, sponsored by KnowMore, finally went to Tsebo Solutions Group (Tirasano).

Who is Tsebo Solutions Group (Tirasano)?

Tirasano – which means ‘working together’ – is one of Tsebo FS’s Private Public Partnerships (PPPs). Its first five years of a 25-year contract with the Department of Basic Education have proven highly successful, seeing both partners earn several accolades. Tirasano strives to provide world-class services aligned with its client’s needs and requirements, and is seen as a benchmark for accommodation-focused PPPs by many local and international universities. In addition to this SAFMA award, Tirasano has previously won awards for cleaning and landscaping.

In taking the coveted SAFMA ‘Excellence in FM’ Award, Tirasano Facilities Management has met, and exceeded, the expected role of FM within a PPP. The maintenance dose of Klonopin is set individually for each patient, depending on the therapeutic effect (usually 3-6 mg/day in 3-4 doses). The maximum daily dose is 20 mg. Children from 10 years are usually prescribed the initial dose of 1-1.5 mg/day for 2-3 doses. The dose can be gradually increased by 0.25-0.5 mg every 3 days until the optimal therapeutic effect is obtained. Please join us in congratulating them on their award-winning teamwork, as Tsebo FS continues to advance the impact of FM in our country.
